Nick Plante
Nick Plante is a programmer, author, community organizer and (most of all) a nice guy. As an independent software consultant and a partner in Ubikorp Internet Services, Nick specializes in helping web startups accelerate their development with Ruby and Rails
Nick is founder and chief organizer of the Rails Rumble innovation competition, an annual event promoting entrepreneurship and developer productivity in the Rails community. He also heads up the NH Ruby Users Group, has spoken at industry events, and contributes to numerous open source projects. Nick’s book, Practical Rails Plugins, was published by Apress in June, 2008. He’s particularly interested in community building, visualization, collaborative filtering, and evolving web techniques for online and interactive storytelling and entertainment purposes.
Ted Roche
Ted Roche is the owner of Ted Roche & Associates, a software development and consulting company based in Contoocook, New Hampshire USA. TR&A develops and maintains database-intensive web sites and rich-client applications for clients in a range of industries from wholesale commodities to fresh produce to financial services, manufacturing and insurance. Software at TR&A is produced in the presence of nuts. A former nine-time Microsoft Most Valuable Professional and Visual FoxPro guru, Ted now spends his time developing Free / Open Source solutions using Linux, Apache. MySQL, PostgreSQL, PHP, Python and Ruby.
In his spare time, Ted is the leader of the Central New Hampshire Linux User Group and a board member of the Greater New Hampshire Linux User Group.
Brian Turnbull
Brian Turnbull is a software and hardware engineer based in Portsmouth, NH. Having worked on large R&D projects at companies like Motorola, Tellabs, and ARRIS for over a decade, he keeps his sanity by moonlighting on smaller web projects with other creative professionals. Active in the local development scene, Brian is a frequent speaker at the New Hampshire Ruby Users Group and Seacoast Linux Users Group.
